Working on the product range for the studio at the moment.
I’m currently working on a line of bags (rucksacks, pouches, tote bags) using canvas, leather and some Harris tweed (when in Rome). I am also going to be screenprinting my own patterns on canvas for the bags as well as for cushion covers, tea towels etc.
As well as the this lot, I’ll be doing some ceramic decals and hopefully soon making my own ceramics too. And this is just the beginning. Hopefully there will be lots more later.
A few weeks ago I took part in a Silent Poster Sale organised by two students from CSM.
The posters were a response to Indian driving. They were hand painted, in keeping with the style of Indian hand painted lettering that is often found on trucks and rickshaws.
This was fun. More to come.
I have recently moved up to the Isle of Lewis to start a little studio. I’m going to be screen printing, making ceramics, homeware items and bags amongst other things.
I am about to order my screen printing equipment, until that comes I’ve been busy painting the studio and some old furniture that was left there and getting to know my new old sewing machine. Still have to get some worktops up, but it is coming along.

We’re in the process of building a house. Until it is ready we are staying in this cute house, with 70’s interior and an old rayburn stove. The place where I have my studio used to be the loom house.

The Eames Rocking Chair
Been working at the Southbank centre this last week, helping to set up an exhibition with JIYO for the Alchemy festival - some very beautiful work. After an all-nighter, we popped downstairs to Canteen for breakfast. Really love their interior design, particularly these chairs by Very Good and Proper
Will post some pics up from the exhibition when I get them.
This was one of the poster experiments I did for a project last year. It was meant to be photographed outside on some graffitied wall, but never happened. I am working on making some more embroidered posters at the moment.
